Susan Cnett

A family psychologist once told my parents that hate is NOT the opposite of love- indifference is.

When we feel hate, we are feeling a strong emotion- a LOT of caring- it is a different version of love. If once in a while we feel we might hate our child, it is OK. It is when a parent becomes indifferent, that we cease caring that we are in trouble.
